Next Swap Coming Up!!!
REALLY quick update here folks. Sorry for the lack of the fall swap, but hey, I had a baby. 'Nuf said.
There WILL be a winter swap with some changes that I'm sure will make a few people unhappy, but even with help, swaps are time consuming and a lot of work to run. (Although they are so fun, which is why there will still be another one.)
1. It will open in late January. Keep an eye on my blog for an announcement.
2. Only 50 people this time. That's about all I can handle (yes, even with help. )
3. I'm not so sure I want to even deal with running this blog for the swap. I would much prefer to just keep it over on Ravelry. Everyone can add themselves and it's one less thing I have to mess with. Not on Ravelry yet? The last person I heard from got her invite in 5 days. Sign up now and you'll be golden by January.
Questions? Comments? Go for it. Gotta run, baby's awake!

Package arrived!!! Had already given up hope!
How amazing - after all this time and uncooperative postman, etc, etc. I received my fantastic swap package today!!!! Thank you Dorothee, it is such a lovely package and really made my day :-)
I'm so sorry you had to send it twice. The yarn is fantastic (I love the Wollmeise colourway and the Regia Merino/Silk mix is sooooo soft) and I really like the mug (I have a tea tin in the same design, can you believe it?!) The sweets will have to go to my house mate, as I can't have sugar (she is very excited about the Mozart Kugeln), and I can't wait to try the coffee. I had an eye on the book "Knit one, kill two" for a while, so it's a real treat to have it now. Oh, and the cow milk jug - what can I say ;-) Altogether an absolutely fantastic package and well worth the wait. Thank you for not giving up! (PS. Have a look at all the goodies on my blog: www.dotsandyarn.blogspot.com)

@Tigerduck
I just wanted to let you know that I posted a new parcel today, this time with a tracking number! I already mailed you the number details. I just hope it works out this time!!!
Sorry I didn't get around to mailing the second packet earlier, first I had exams, then I was really exhausted and didn't get anything done, then there was my graduation with all of my family in town and tomorrow I'm going on holiday to Australia for 3 weeks.
Now, if this packet doesn't arrive either, I'll have to deliver a new one personally! But you might have to let me stay at your house then, London is quite pricey as far as I know ;-)
I'll keep my fingers crossed! Hopefully, all the postal workers transporting this parcel don't like coffee.

I think I give up....
Still waiting.... I think it's about time to give up and admit defeat. I had lots of fun to put the package for my partner, though, but the postal service was just not up for the job of delivering the return package. :-(

It finally arrived!
After literally months of waiting, the postal service finally decided to deliver Dawn's coffee swap package this morning. After opening it, I think I know why they didn't want to give it up - they wanted it for themselves!
I confess I was doubting it would ever come but now that I have it, I am so glad it did. Dawn could not have chosen a better package for me than if she was standing next to me. She sent two skeins of blue and mauve berocco wool that are so pretty and a skein of grey Highlander alpaca/merino that is just the type of yarn that I would want to see done in a hat, sweater or a pair of socks. It's so soft.
In addition to the wool, she sent two bags of coffee, a Starbucks Komodo Dragon blend and a Java Dave blend, as well as a sample coffee. I just ran out of coffee so I will be having some very shortly. She also sent me Starbucks chocolate covered graham cookies that are my favorites and which I haven't been able to get here in a long time. I have alway wanted a Starbucks mug and she sent me a pretty white one with trees on it. As well, there was a bar of Frey Tiramiscu Swiss chocolate and a bag of Russell Stover mocha chocolate that I will be getting into shortly.
She also sent a handmade crocheted doily of soft caramel colors. I can't crochet so I marvel at the workmanship - very nicely done.
So thank you again Dawn. I am so glad it finally arrived.
